The Downriver Council for the Arts is offering a new children's class on Saturdays, March 10, 17 and 24, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The class is a drop-in course focusing on children's comic book creating and cartooning methods. It's for children ages 8 to 12, and students will learn the basics of creating characters, telling stories with words and pictures, and study drawing techniques. Basic supplies will be provided.

No registration is needed, simply show up. Cost is $15 per class. The class will be held at the DCA, which is located at 81 Chestnut St., Wyandotte. Call 734-720-0671 for details, or visit the DCA website.
