World War II veteran Paul Kolakowski of Wyandotte died Saturday, June 25. He was 89.

He is survived by his wife, Millie; a brother, Walter Kolakowski; son-in-law Michael Bonchak; his grandchildren, Ryan Kolakowski, Kelly VanMarter, Lindsay Bonchak, Bethany Bonchak and Natalie Bonchak; and two great-grandchildren, Barret VanMarter and Keegan VanMarter. He was preceded in death by two children, Paul R. Kolakowski and Janet Borchak, and his brother, Frank Kolakowski. 

Visitation is Tuesday, June 28, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary at Czopek Funeral Directors in Wyandotte. The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 29, instate at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Wyandotte. Interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery will follow.
