The New Year started with a bang at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday for Yolanda and John Rayford of Romulus, who welcomed their daughter, J'Niyah Reign, into the world.
The 8-pound, 6-ounce girl was the first baby of 2013 born at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.
The family is doing well, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
