DIA Artwork Installed Around Wyandotte on Friday

Reproductions of artwork from the museum are featured at seven spots throughout the city.

Seven new art pieces were installed on the streets of downtown Wyandotte on Friday.

Wyandotte is one of 16 Michigan communities selected to host

As part of the project, the DIA has brought seven high-quality reproductions of art pieces from its collection to the streets of Wyandotte. Some of the pieces hang on the sides of buildings, while others are freestanding throughout the downtown area. The pieces are clustered within walking or biking distance from each other to encourage people to get out and view them all.

While the pieces are now hung, Wyandotte will officially kick off the event on March 30 with hands-on activities at the . Gallery openings also will take place that night, along with live music and giveaways.
