Flower, Rosie Are Looking for New Homes

WAG Animal Rescue and Shelter to Home have a multitude of animals available for adoption.

Each week, Wyandotte Patch features adoptable pets from Wyandotte.

Vickie Taylor, vice president of WAG Animal Rescue, introduces us to Flower the cat and Rosie the dog:

Flower is 8 years old and a total love bug. She is spayed and front declawed. Flower was rescued on her last day at a shelter. She would be perfect for a quiet home where she will get lots of love and petting.

Rosie is a 6-month-old terrier/Chihuahua mix. She is an adorable, happy girl. Her tail constantly wags and she loves to cuddle and be petted. Rosie is spayed and current on vaccinations.

Anyone interested in adopting an animal from WAG is encouraged to visit the group's website and fill out an application online. The group's animals are on display every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Livonia PetSmart, 13150 Middlebelt. As not all animals are brought up each week, potential adopters are encouraged to email the group to make arrangements for a particular animal to be available to be seen. An entire list, including photographs and descriptions, of all the group's adoptable animals can be found on its website.

Maggie Morawski, a volunteer with , introduces us to St. Paulie Girl and Fiona the cats:

St. Paulie Girl is a young, petite domestic medium hair tuxedo mix. She is not quite a year old. She was abandoned at a shelter when she was very young, so she is quite shy with new people and will need some time to adjust. She gets along well with other animals. She enjoys belly rubs and loves being brushed. St. Paulie Girl has been spayed, dewormed, given flea preventative and tested negative for feline AIDS and feline Leukemia. She is current on her rabies and distemper vaccines.

Fiona is a beautiful adult domestic medium hair Maine Coon mix. She has the markings of a Maine Coon, but she does not have their big size. She is believed to be about 2 years old and is still very playful like a kitten. Fiona’s favorite toy is the tin wrapper of a Hershey’s Kiss. She will jump on your lap when she hears the sound of one being opened and will wait for you to roll the wrapper into a little ball and throw it so she can chase it around and swat it across the floor. She gets along well with other animals. She has been in foster care for a long time and would love to find her forever loving home. Fiona has been spayed, dewormed, given flea preventative and tested negative for feline AIDS and feline Leukemia. She is current on her rabies and distemper vaccines.
