Tell Us How You'd Spend $100 in Wyandotte and You Might Get to Do Just That

Leave a comment below and you could win $100 to spend as you like in Wyandotte.

You've got one last chance to win, Wyandotte.

We've given away $400 in gift cards over the last four weeks and are now doing it again for the fifth and final time.

We want to give one lucky reader $100 to spend as they wish in Wyandotte.

In our first two contests, we asked you to upload a photo and tell us how you'd spend $100 in Wyandotte. In our third contest, we asked you to review a Wyandotte business. In our fourth, and now our fifth and final installment, we're making it the easiest yet to win $100.

It's as simple as this: Post a comment below, letting us know how you'd spend $100 in Wyandotte. Are you heading to your favorite restaurant? Bar? Store? Car repair shop? Let us know below and you could find yourself with the $100 to do it. (Entries from the first four contests do NOT roll over; however, you may enter again by posting a comment below.)

Here at Patch, we know that our local businesses are at the core of a vibrant community. We also know that our readers are good people who deserve a night out. So we figured we'd combine the two and offer you a chance to "Patch the Town."

However you spend the $100, you must do it in Wyandotte and you have to do it with a smile because you deserve it.

You've got till 5 p.m. Friday to enter. We'll pick one lucky winner in a random drawing and that person will receive a $100 gift card. The Wyandotte Downtown Development Authority is partnering with Patch with this promotion and will have a special gift for the winner, as well.

In turn, we ask the winner to take a few photos while out enjoying the $100 and upload them, along with a short write-up on how the night went.

It's not everyday that it's this easy to win $100, so don't delay. Get to commenting today!

And now, the official rules:

  • Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
  • To enter, post a comment on how you'd spend $100 in Wyandotte.
  • All entries must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, June 29 Eastern Time.
  • You may enter once.
  • One winner will be selected in a random drawing.

I would give it to my parents so they could go out to dinner (they love RP's) and have some drinks (probably at Sports or The Oak)! They do so much to help support me while I'm in college, so it would be so nice to be able to give something back to them!

Then we'd go for a stroll afterwards and either end up at Saunder's for dessert or Sweet Nothings. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it!!!!!

I just wrote a book. The protagonist is from Wyandotte. It took a lot out of me and I don't know if my story will be a success. If I had the money, I'd return Downriver and promote my book. If it becomes a New York Times bestseller, I'd buy a condo complex for all my relatives who are struggling in the Detroit area, so they could rent from me, at low rent instead of the ridiculous payments they have to make now! I'd set up a college fund for aspiring writers and have a reality show like “The Voice" for lyricists, screen play writers, journalists and authors. I'd have university professors and professional play-writes guide the contestants. I'd "put back" into the community helping people who are illiterate or have dyslexia learn how to read and comprehend. That is my dream and I know that if I could promote my book, "A Sideshow Journey," it would be the start I need to help people help themselves.

Hello, Mary.
Thank you for your interest. "A Sideshow Journey" is in print as of May. (It was released a few weeks ago.) It can be ordered through Barnes and Noble, synergy-books.com and other bookstores. It's also on Kindle and will be on Nook later this week. I'm doing a book signing at a JFK (Taylor) Alumni picnic at Papp Park, 2pm this Saturday. I'll also be meeting with a few people at the Downriver Cruise at 10 am and will have books with me. I'm doing book signings all over west Michigan and hope to get into the Allen Park Barnes and Noble, so the more people who request my books, the better the negotiations will go. I'd be happy to sign a copy of this story or my first book, "Lizzie's Blue Ridge Memories" if you come to one of my meet-and-greet events.
Have an awesome day! Honk if you see my car and ad this weekend.

PS "A Sideshow Journey" is for adult readers. The content of performers in the freakshow and the rough life Calli Tiller had in Detroit and Las Vegas may be too disturbing for young readers. "Lizzie's Blue Ridge Memories" is for young readers and older. It's illustrated by Disney's Jared Beckstrand.
