As Halloween approaches, youngsters’ thoughts turn to fun costumes — and candy. Here are a few trick-or-treating opportunities that fall before Oct. 31.
- Halloween @ Bacon is from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 at Bacon Memorial District Library, 45 Vinewood St. in Wyandotte. It’s a free event, and children can join in the annual trick-or-treating through the Bacon House.
- Wyandotte’s Downtown Trick-or-Treat will be 5-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26. Families can visit downtown Wyandotte as select businesses hand out candy for little ones. Star Wars characters and Tinkerbell also will be roaming Biddle.
- Trinity Lutheran Church & Community Center will have its second annual Trunk or Treat from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, at the church at 465 Oak St., Wyandotte. Everyone is welcome, and the free event will include candy, treats, a bounce house, crafts and refreshments. Children are encouraged to wear non-scary costumes, and adults can dress up, as well.
