Viewfinder: Downtown Ice Sculptures Look Chill

This month's Third Friday theme was Cool Blues Ice Fest and featured ice sculptures by members of the Henry Ford Community College Ice Carving Club.

The warmer-than-normal temperatures Friday brought hundreds of people to downtown Wyandotte for the monthly Third Friday celebration.

February's theme was Cool Blues Ice Fest and featured ice sculptures from members of the Henry Ford Community College Ice Carving Club.

Many were carted in already assembled, while student artists set up shop around Belicoso, and Purple Frog Photography to do live carvings.

While the weather was nice, it wasn't warm enough to instantly melt the sculptures, which were a crowd pleaser. Many people stopped outside to watch while the masterpieces were created.
