The Wyandotte Farmers Market opened for the season on Thursday.
Vendors offered such items as herbs, vegetables and plants. There also were tents that offered kettle corn, soap, coffee and honey.
The market, now in its third year, will be held at the corner of Elm and First streets from noon to 7 p.m. Thursdays through Oct 18.

I heard that the market was a great time yesterday from my wife and kids. Good job on that Wyandotte and vendors!
A sad moment for my daughter however was when she went back to her bike to find that her bike helmet was missing. It's a Schwinn and very pink. I don't know if perhaps someone stole it or perhaps a young kid saw it and wanted to show their mom/dad but she was rather torn up about it and asked the question with tears streaming down her face, "why would someone steal a bike helmet from a little girl?" She's 7 and this was her first experience with something like this. If anyone might have found a pink schwinn helmet, please leave a comment.
