You've Got Photos: Bill Morrison's 'Detroit Pop'
Successful cartoonist and Downriver native Bill Morrison visited Wyandotte's River's Edge Gallery on Saturday to feature his 'Detroit Pop' exhibit. Check out all eight pieces from the show.
Artist Bill Morrison, a former Downriver resident and original illustrator on The Simpsons, stopped in at on Saturday night to kick off his "Detroit Pop" exhibit.
"Detroit Pop" features large scale, acrylic paintings of eight successful, and influential, Detroit-area musicians juxtaposed with Detroit-area pop culture images like Faygo Red Pop, Vernor’s Ginger Ale and Paramount Potato Chips.
During his career, Morrison also has served as the art director for the animated series Futurama, has done work for Disney and co-founded Bongo Comics with Simpsons creator Matt Groening.

Morrison's exhibit will be on display at River's Edge Gallery until July 16.
