Backpackpolozza: Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is partnering with Operation Kid Equip and Affinity Group Credit Union to provide backpacks and school supplies to children in the Downriver region. School-age children can visit the Hospital to pick up their supplies from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Multipurpose Rooms at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, located at 2333 Biddle Ave. in Wyandotte. 350 backpacks will be available and one backpack per child. Cost: Free

Established in 1926, Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is an acute care hospital serving the Downriver region and surrounding communities in southeast Michigan. The Wyandotte campus features a surgery department with 11 operating suites, two endoscopic suites and a daVinci robotic surgical system. In addition, they have a 25-bed birthing center, an emergency department with pediatric specialty care, inpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation services, adult mental health services and physician offices.
An Osteopathic Graduate Medical Education program offers rotations to residents, interns and third- and fourth-year medical students.
