Farmers Fair to Include Salsa Cook Off, Games and Live Entertainment

Here's a list of five things to know about the 2103 Farmers Fair coming to the Wyandotte Farmers Market

Corn shucking is an art. The great corn shuckers throughout history have had one thing in common—hands.

Anyone can shuck corn. And, at the 2013 Farmers Fair in Wyandotte speed will be the difference between and average corn shucker and a truly great corn shucker.

Here's a list of five things to know about the 2013 Farmers Fair coming to the Wyandotte Farmers Market:

1.  The 2013 Farmers Fair is set for 3:30 to 6 p.m. Sept. 12 at the corner of Elm and First streets in Downtown Wyandotte.

2.  There will be a salsa cook off to be judged on the day of the event. Click here for a copy of the salsa cook off entry form. Turn in the form on the day of the event.

3.  There are several events scheduled throughout the day including lawn games and a tug of war with the Wyandotte Fire Department at 4:30 p.m.

4. The corn shucking contest begins at 5:30 p.m.

5.  Enjoy entertainment by Farmer John and His Barnyard Express from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and side-by-side banjos by Al Allotta from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
