Drop off your cans and drop some pounds with Weight Watchers Group's Lose For Good Campaign

During a campaign called Lose for Good,  Weight Watchers Group will be collecting cans and other non-perishable food items from its members throughout Michigan, to help stock food bank shelves before the holiday season begins. In addition, Weight Watchers Group will match food donations, pound for pound, during the collection period, September 16, 2013 until October 22, 2013. Money will also be donated to Share our Strength and Action Against Hunger for each pound members lose.  

“Food banks are an important source of good nutrition year round, but with the holiday season fast approaching, their resources are likely to be stretched even further,” said Florine Mark, President and CEO of Weight Watchers Group. “Our members are extremely generous, and while they are improving their own well-being by losing weight, we know they will be happy to also improve the lives of those less fortunate in the community.”

  • Southeast Michigan:  Gleaners Community Food Bank
  • Midland, Bay City and Saginaw: Hidden Harvest
  • Frankenmuth, Flint, Fenton, Grand Blanc, Burton, Clio and Davison: Eastern Michigan Food Bank
  • Lapeer Center and North Branch: Stone Soup Food Bank
