2014 YOUTH INFOGRAPHIC CONTEST

Right to Life  of Michigan Educational Fund is hosting a Youth Infographic Contest for high school and college aged Michigan youth.  Prolife young people from Michigan ages 13 to 22 as of July 1, 2014, can create and submit an original infographic, and contest finalists will have their works shared on Right to Life of Michigan's Facebook page and judged by a public vote to determine the winners.

An infographic is a graphic or visual representation of information, data or knowledge intended to present complex information quickly and clearly.  Contestants will be split into two divisions, 13-17 and 18-22.  The winner of the 13-18 division willl win $300 and the winner of the 18-22 division will win $500.  The deadline for submission is Tuesday, July 1, 2014.

July 1 may sound far away, but there is a lot of decision making, research, planning, and graphics to be incorporated so it is never too early to begin the process.

Contest Rules:

1.  The infographic must present timely and accurate prolife information in a visually pleasing and persuasive way.  The style and amount of content can vary, but every submission must be of sufficient size and resolution to be easily readable via popular social neworking profiles, e.g. Facebook.  Three important qualifications will be used to determine finalists.  1) originality, 2) relevance of the information, and 3) visual appeal.

2.  Statistics used do not need to be cited in the infographic, but citations must be included on the contestant's application form.

3.  Submissions for the contest are due by Tuesday, July 1, 2014.  One submission per contestant.  Infographics must be in a JPEG file format and emailed to contest@rtl.org, and must include the contestant's name and address.  The file size for submissions must not exceed 5 megabytes.  The contest application must be mailed to our State Office.  We are requiring a hardcopy of the registration in order to ensure that no contestant's submission is lost or blocked by an email filter.
