Kelsey Stempien decorates one of the flower boxes at Oakwood Cemetery in Wyandotte for Memorial Day
Brenda Tomblin, a member of the Monguagon Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, and her granddaughter Kelsey Stempien were among those who decorated flower boxes at Oakwood Cemetery in celebration of Memorial Day. Each year the chapter places flags on the graves of veterans, many of which are from the Civil War.  The Oakwood Cemetery has been recognized as the oldest cemetery in Wyandotte and is open to visitors during day light hours.
