Bike Racks Installed in Downtown Wyandotte

Two designs were selected in a contest to be installed outside City Hall.

Bicyclists now have a place to secure their bikes in downtown Wyandotte.

The Wyandotte Downtown Development Authority sponsored a contest for designs of bike racks.

Artist Ray Gomez, who designed one of the displays, was on hand Friday for its installation. His wife, Jennifer, and sons Rielly, Finn and Rowan, also were on hand. Their rack can hold as many as 15 bikes.

The other artist, Anthony Reale, also had his design unveiled on Friday. His rack can hold as many as seven bikes.
