Bites Nearby: Gregorio's Italian Restaurant

Family-run eatery has many options, including a new seafood marinara.

Each week, Wyandotte Patch editors and readers will pick a great restaurant either in town or nearby whose cuisine is considered to reign supreme.

Overview: Considering fine dining or even a casual night out? Head to Gregorio’s. Offering homemade Italian dishes of pasta or seafood or even a nice juicy steak, they have something for everyone for dine-in or take-out.

Décor: Entering the bistro-like ambience of Italy, diners can enjoy a home cooked Italian fare while a toy train makes its way around the pendent light adorned restaurant. Grape vines adorn the walls, giving the classic Italian cucina feel.

The Drinks: Coca-Cola fountain drinks, beer, wine and liquor.

Appetizers: Try the mussel appetizer served in a garlic lemon butter sauce or a simpler flavor of boardwalk fries.

Entrees: For your main meal, choose from a variety of pastas, seafood or meats. Two of the more popular plates are the Butternut Squash ($13.99) and Steak or Chicken Gregorio ($17.99). A new menu item is the Seafood Marinara, which includes mussels, bay scallops shrimp served in a tomato sauce ($19.99).

Sides: You can’t go wrong with the Italian classic, gnocchi (potato dumplings).

Service: Family owned and operated, Gregorio’s service is friendly and personable.
