Get Out: Dirty Art, Jazz and Bears, Oh My!

Fight cabin fever this weekend in the 'Dotte by getting out for some excitement.

It's been a loooong work week and now the weekend is upon you.

You've been too busy to scout for the best options or check out what's playing, doing and happening this weekend. Patch's new Get Out feature is the solution. Each week, we collect the very best in weekend options. But we won't do it alone.

1. The Dirty Show

Where/When: Bert’s Warehouse Theater in Eastern Market, 2739 Russell St. Detroit. The Dirty Show opens at 7 p.m. Friday and runs through Feb. 19.

Why go? The Dirty Show is celebrating 12 years of publishing and promoting erotic art. Wyandotte artists Jeremy E. Hansen and Paul Balog have pieces on display.

Where/When: Willow Tree, Thursday through Sunday

Why go? Be one of the first to view the newest creations Trollbeads has to offer. You can score a free sterling silver bracelet with the purchase of a decorative clasp. If you buy three Trollbeads, you receive one free.

Pricing: Viewing is free. How much you want to spend on new jewels is up to you.

Where/When: Bishop-Brighton Bed and Breakfast, 7 p.m. Friday

Why go? Get jazzed up listening to Grammy nominee pianist James Dapogny, cellist Mike Karoub and vocalist Natalie Rankine perform jazz from the Great American Songbook. Bring your own favorite bottle of wine to sip. Desserts, coffee and tea will be served at the conclusion of the concert. Seating begins at 6:30 p.m.

Where/When: Speed Boat Bar & Grill, 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday

Why go? You could get lucky. Dinner includes food and raffle prizes. Prime rib and chicken alfredo, or salmon or steak and shrimp are on the menu. Soup or salad, and potato and vegetables are included with the meal. You also get an appetizer and dessert.

Pricing:  $30 for two dinners.

Where/When: Roosevelt High School gym, 7 p.m. Thursday

Why go? Watch the Bears battle the Marauders. It was a great matchup the first time the teams played earlier this season. The Marauders secured a 53-51 win in that game. Will they repeat?

Pricing: $5 adults, $1 children.
