Great Escape: Fire on the Water

This week’s escape will have you cruising the Detroit River for a good cause.

are hosting their fourth annual "Night on the River Fundraiser" on Friday night.

Tickets to the event are $50 each and include a three-hour chartered cruise aboard the Diamond Belle. The cruise includes an open bar, hors d’oeuvres catered by , a live DJ, souvenir mug and door prizes.

The boat departs from at 7 p.m. and takes passengers north towards Detroit and turns around just past the Ambassador Bridge. The boat returns and docks for the night at Bishop Park at 10 p.m., and an after party follows at Do Hickeys.

All proceeds go toward the Wyandotte Firefighters Scholarship Fund.
