The hospital welcomed six babies this new year, with the first arriving at 6:13 a.m.

The first baby born on New Year’s Day at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital was delivered at 6:13 a.m.

The baby boy was born into the Bonso family of Southgate. He was 7 pounds and 21 inches.

Wyandotte had a total of six babies born Jan.1, conceivably a new hospital record, Hannan Deep, public relations director at HF Wyandotte, said today.

“That’s a lot of New Year’s baby for us,” Deep said. “I don’t know if we have had that many before. It could be a record!"
