New Community Garden Alive, Well in Wyandotte

Joe's Hamburgers owner Jeremy Sladovnik and several volunteers turned a gloomy lot located behind his business into a community garden where Wyandotte residents can grow vegetables.

Poppy's Urban Garden is a community project funded by Stars Shining Through--a non-profit organization created by Sladovnik that supports local causes in Wyandotte.

So far, there are several buds sprouting up through out the garden planted by individual citizens, organizations and community groups.
