Patch Editor Says Farewell to Wyandotte

Local Editor Nate Stemen leaves Wyandotte Patch.

After several months of covering one of the most engaged and active communities Downriver, I have to say goodbye to Wyandotte.

I've met some wonderful and amazing people. From the hardworking volunteers and entrepreneurs at the Wyandotte Farmers Market to the dedicated business men and women involved with the Wyandotte Downtown Development Authority, each new relationship has made me a better reporter, editor and person.

There has never been a shortage of news. From the three submerged vehicles pulled out of the Detroit River to the ever-changing landscape of Downtown Wyandotte, I've had my work cut out for me.

I'd like to thank the Downtown Development Authority, Wyandotte police and fire department and all of the Wyandotte officials for their constant cooperation and professional manner.

I'd also like to thank the good people of Wyandotte for welcoming me into the community and embracing Patch with open arms.

I hope that you show your new Patch editor the same kindness and acceptance you've shown me. Patch is currently looking for someone to fill my shoes, and I'm certain he or she will do great.

Please direct any further news tips, story ideas or general communications to wyandotte@patch.com.

It's been a pleasure being your editor. Farewell.
