Victor, Scooter, Edie and Trina Are in Need of Homes

WAG Animal Rescue and Wyandotte Animal Pound have a multitude of animals up for adoption.

Each week, Wyandotte Patch features adoptable pets from both  and WAG Animal Rescue.

Vickie Taylor, vice president of WAG Animal Rescue, introduces us to Victor the cat and Scooter the dog:

Victor is starving for attention. He loves everyone he meets, including other cats. He is friendly and as sweet as can be.

Scooter was found running the streets on a very busy road. His hair was matted and had to be cut. He is a sweet boy who loves to sit on your lap and watch TV with you. He is about 3 years old and has been neutered, had his teeth cleaned and current on all vaccinations. He is a really nice boy and loves to play. He is already house-trained and will make a great family dog.

Anyone interested in adopting an animal from WAG is encouraged to visit the group's website and fill out an application online. The group's animals are on display every Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Livonia PetSmart, 13150 Middlebelt. As not all animals are brought up each week, potential adopters are encouraged to e-mail the group to make arrangements for a particular animal to be available to be seen. An entire list, including photographs and descriptions, of all the group's adoptable animals can be found on its website.

Edie is a calico mix. She is about 2 years old and is a larger cat. She is beautiful, with very unique markings. Edie is on the shyer side, but loves attention. She has been at the shelter for a long time and needs her own family. Edie is spayed and current on all vaccinations.

Trina is a young boxer and pit-bull mix. She is friendly and does well with other dogs and cats. Trina has a lot of energy and will need a family willing to train her and take her on lots of walks. She is set to be spayed next week and is current on vaccinations.
