Wyandotte Dogs Making Biddle Better

Three golden retrievers that can often be seen from Biddle Avenue are quickly becoming Wyandotte's most popular pooches.

People driving through Wyandotte on Biddle Avenue have begun stopping to meet three golden retrievers that have quickly become local celebrities.

"We have a regular following of people that stop by," said Charlie Grose, owner and best friend to Wyandotte's popular pooches.

Grose, 62, and his wife Janice adopted their three golden retrievers about two years ago. A few months after bringing them home, Brando, Stella and Josephine had already amassed a considerable following.

Grose said his dogs get visits from people from all around, who first saw the dogs playing on Grose's fenced-in porch. Some of the more regular visitors include visits from a woman and her autistic child and an elderly couple from Taylor.

Brando, 17 months, Stella, 15 months, and Josephine, 14 months, are from three different litters. Each dog has a unique personality, according to Grose.

"Brando is the suck-up...Stella's the lover...and Jo-Jo (Josephine) is what we like to call our junkyard dog," Grose said.

Grose and his dogs enjoy the attention and are always ready to meet new friends.
