The Miss Michigan USA ceremony, along with the results, will be televised live on NBC from Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas the following evening at 9 p.m. At the top of the hour, 15 contestants will be chosen to move on to the semi-final round, while the winner of the contest, will be selected as the "Fan Favorite" 16th contestant.

The 16 contestants will then have the chance to compete in the gown and swimwear categories before the competition is narrowed down to five who will then have the opportunity to answer interview questions on stage. The judges will then determine the next Miss USA.

"I would be so happy if I was voted by the public as the USA's "Fan Favorite," said Schultz. "What an amazing thing to know all those people are in your corner, rooting for you; it's got to be an amazing feeling."

Since winning the coveted Miss Michigan USA title, Schultz has been busy working alongside organizations including the Salvation Army, Pink Ribbon Girls, American Cancer Association, For a Day Foundation and more. She has also visited many schools all over Michigan and appeared at numerous local charitable events.

Most notably, Schultz was recently named the spokeswoman for the Beautiful You MRKH Foundation, a rare condition that causes women to be born without a uterus, a condition Schultz herself suffers from.

"Being the spokeswoman for the Beautiful You MRKH Foundation has given me a small glimpse of what it would be like to educate, inspire and empower girls and women from all over the world" said Schultz. "It's not only about beauty; it's about being a strong, educated, confident woman and standing up for something you believe in."

Schultz graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2006, is an alumna of Central Michigan University and is currently enrolled at Michigan State University to earn her master's degree.

Over the past eight months, she says she has felt nothing but support from her ever-growing community.

"All of your words of encouragement have meant more than you know, and I will keep them fresh in my mind while competing," said Schultz. "You all rock and I plan on making Michigan proud in Vegas!"
