Two young Wyandotte singers will be performing on the main stage of the Detroit Opera House on Sunday with the Michigan Opera Theatre Children's Chorus.
Katherine Fuller, 11, and Rachel Kret, 14, both have prior performing experience but are in their first year with the MOTCC.
The chorus will be presenting its sixth-annual holiday concert and fundraiser.
The MOTCC is a permanent ensemble of Michigan Opera Theatre and appears with the company in main-stage productions as well as its own performances.
Fuller is a soprano in the Principal Choir and Kret is an alto 2 in the Principal Choir.
The concert will feature a variety of music including folk songs, opera and traditional holiday favorites. There will also be a silent auction and raffle to benefit the chorus.
The auction will feature numerous items such as Detroit Opera House box seats to Broadway shows, a Michigan International Speedway Pure Michigan 400 Nascar Race VIP Package, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater tickets and a hotel package stay at the Detroit Westin Book Cadillac.
The show begins at 2 p.m. Tickets are $28 for adults, $15 for ages 16 and under and free for children 4 and under.
Tickets include the concert, strolling hors d'oeuvres and dessert. They may be purchased in advance at www.michiganopera.org or by calling 313-237-SING. Tickets will also be available at the door.
