DIA Inside Out Downtown Wyandotte Kickoff

DIA Inside|Out brings reproductions of masterpieces from the Detroit Institute of Arts collection to the streets of Metro Detroit. Wyandotte has been selected as one of 16 Michigan communities selected to host the Detroit Institute of Art's Inside|Out program. The DDA is partnering with the Wyandotte Museum, the Downriver Council for the Arts, our downtown art galleries and local businesses to bring visual and cultural programming and events downtown from April through June. DIA Inside|Out is funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

We will kick off the festivities on Friday, March 30 with hands-on activities at the Wyandotte Arts Center. Gallery openings also will take place that night, along with live music and giveaways. The opening ceremony will take place at 5:30 pm at the Chase Bank Green at the corner of Sycamore and Biddle Avenue. Visitors will have a chance to pick up a Downtown Wyandotte Arts Passport at select businesses and get it stamped as they travel around, viewing all of the artwork. The Downriver Council for the Arts will present a Global Peace Project and both of our art galleries: River’s Edge & Biddle Gallery will be hosting art opening. Event is rain or shine.
