UPDATED: Ice Sculptures to Fill Downtown Wyandotte Friday

Three live carvings will be done throughout the day during the Cool Blues Ice Fest.

Ice, ice baby.

Twenty ice sculptures will line Biddle in downtown Wyandotte on Friday for the annual Cool Blues Ice Fest. (For a list of the carving sites, see the PDF to the right.)

Live ice carvings also will occur outside of three businesses — It All Makes Scents, 3041 Biddle; R.P. McMurphy's, 2922 Biddle; and Sushi Bar & Japanese Cuisine, 130 Maple.

The event begins at 5 p.m., with the carvings getting under way at 6 p.m.

Several downtown businesses also will stay open later and will offer discounts and specials.
