Out of all the fairs in the country, why do you choose to participate in Wyandotte’s? I wanted to do several shows in Michigan this year. I had heard good things about this show, as well as researched through artist publications.

Tell us an interesting tidbit about yourself or your work. You could say I am in my third career in life. I began as the chairman of the art department at Lakota High School, a large high school in the Cincinnati area. I did that for 10 years. I then left teaching to join in the formation of a company unrelated to art, which involved sales in the Midwest and Florida. I did this for 24 years. However, I kept my interest in my pottery and continued working in clay for fun. About eight years ago, I had enough of traveling and sales calls and with my wife about to retire from Miami University, I decided if I was to make a life for my love of clay, now was the time. My wife and I now do 22-24 art shows a year from Michigan to Florida and everywhere in between.
