Rain Date Announced for Wyandotte's Flicks on Bricks

The showing of "Despicable Me" was canceled in July, but has been reset for next month.

Heavy rains might have kept the showing of Despicable Me from happening on July 27, but a new show time has been announced. Again.

The movie will be played at dusk Oct. 5 on the old Wyandotte Theatre lot at the corner of Elm and First streets as part of the city's free "Flicks on Bricks" outdoor movie series.

It originally had been rescheduled for Friday, but organizers changed it again after realizing Friday was the September Third Friday celebration.

There are two movies still planned for this year:

  • Sept. 28 – Viewer’s Choice
  • Oct. 5 – Despicable Me

All movies begin at dusk. People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to be comfortable. Refreshments will be available for purchase or you can bring your own. Alcohol and pets are not permitted.
