Tongue's Coffee Hosts Book Signing With Local Author Wally Hayden

Wallace Hayden's new book, Images and Ancestors, will be available for sale and personalized signing on Sunday, Feb. 2 (Groundhog Day) at 2 p.m. at Tongue's Coffee.

Local author Wallace Hayden will be signing copies of his book "Images and Ancestors: Adventures in Local History" Sunday, Feb. 2 (Groundhog Day) at 2 p.m. at Tongue's Coffee in Wyandotte. 

Hayden is the head librarian at Bacon Memorial Library.

The book, a 146 pages of Downriver History, is an expanded compilation of Hayden's popular articles published in The News-Herald over the past few years. 

"It makes a perfect gift for history buffs and anyone with an interest in Wyandotte," the library said in a blog post on Patch. 

Each copy costs $15.

Copies can also be purchased at Bacon Memorial Library. I highly recommend this book, it is very well done. There are lots of interesting facts as well as tons of pictures. Mr. Hayden did an awesome job of bringing downrivers' history back to life!!!
