World Renowned American String Quartet Performing in Wyandotte

The Detroit Chamber Music Society is sponsoring the event. A limited number of seats are available.

One of the world's best string quartets will be performing Tuesday morning in the auditorium of Roosevelt High School.

The American String Quartet will host a special performance and workshop from 8:45 to 11:30 a.m. The Detroit Chamber Music Society is sponsoring the program.

Students from Roosevelt and Wilson Middle School, along with other area schools, have been invited to attend the master-class style lecture and performance. The students will have hands-on rehearsals with members of the famed quartet.

"Wyandotte Public Schools is one of the only school districts in our area with an active and growing string orchestra program in the schools," said Mark D'Angelo, the district's instrumental music director.

A limited number of seats are available for the general public. Advance registration is required by emailing D'Angelo at dangelm@wy.k12.mi.us.
