Monday's Open Mic Night Rocks at Tongue's Coffee

The coffee shop, 2958 Biddle Ave., offers live music from local artists every Friday from 7 to 10 p.m.

The popular open mic night at Tongue’s Coffee pulled in a decent crowd Monday despite freezing temperatures and ice covered roads. 

Hosted by Geoff Horny, the event takes place on the first Monday of every month, and features a diverse, eccentric group of acoustic guitar playing bands and solo artists.

This month's show featured tunes from David Buhr, Dane Krotto, Jon Hiatt, Sarah Marie Keenan, Whitewall Steve, and Geoff Hornby, who performs Feb.22 at the coffee house. More on this later...

This Friday will feature the alternative folk sounds of local Jack Prime. Sarah Marie Keenan and Autumn Brown perform Jan. 31.
