You've Got Photos: Wyandotte Pink Lantern Launch for Breast Cancer

Friends, family and survivors filled downtown Wyandotte on Saturday to help fight breast cancer.

Saturday evening found downtown Wyandotte filled with and their friends and family.

The Wyandotte Pink Lantern Launch for Breast Cancer helped support Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital's Yes Ma'am mammogram program.

The event was part of Wyandotte's Paint the Town Pink in honor of October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Paint the Town Pink is a joint effort of downtown business owners, who have formed the “Tatas Task Force” to host several events promoting breast cancer awareness.

An amazing finish to Paint the Town Pink. Could have been warmer, and Michigan/MS could have picked a different day to play, and we could sold a lot more glasses. But it was SO gratifying --- the launch was fun and beautiful and rewarding. For all that attended, for the Jaycees, Council, DPS, Municipal Service, the 6 Pioneer Wine Trail wineries that were here, Sweet Nothings, Nana's, Mayor Peterson, YES MA'AM and everyone that helped - - - THANK YOU for making our first Paint the Town Pink campaign SO worth doing. To all of the Tatas Task Force, the bra decorators, merchant partipants, survivors and all the friends and families that great cancer has touched, saying thank you is minimal, but THANK YOU ANYWAY!!!!! Nobody did what they did to be thanked, either ---- In honor of those lost, I say "Here's to You", and stay tuned for next year.
