Greatest Sandwich Ever: The Vito ($4.50) is Jimmy John’s answer to the classic Italian submarine sandwich. The 8-inch sub is served on homemade French bread and packed with Genoa salami, Capitola, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions and topped with Italian vinaigrette.

Don't Miss: The Country Club ($5.50) combines both sliced turkey breast and apple wood smoked ham on either freshly-baked 7-grain or French bread. Piled on to the sandwich are provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. This selection comes from the Giant Club Sandwich portion of the menu.

Overview: A nationwide chain sandwich restaurant best known for serving up fresh and tasty subs in a hurry. The chain was founded in 1983 and the Wyandotte location has been open since 2005. An overall fun, laid-back atmosphere is created inside by a friendly staff, whimsical slogans posted everywhere and rock music playing from the store’s speakers at just the right volume.

The Scene Jimmy John’s is typically busiest at lunchtime, but it’s not uncommon to see a steady flow of customers throughout the entire day. Just about anyone can be spotted ordering at Jimmy John’s, including families, high school students, downtown shoppers, local business owners and area professionals.

The Drinks: Coke products are available on the beverage fountain at Jimmy John’s and either a small ($1.39) or large ($1.49) drink cup can be purchased. Refills are free for those eating inside the restaurant.

Sandwiches: Highlighting the 8-inch sandwich portion of the menu is the Turkey Tom ($4.50), Big John ($4.50), Totally Tuna ($4.50) and Vegetarian ($4.50). Options from the giant club side are the Gourmet Smoked Ham Club ($5.50), the Beach Club ($5.50), the Ultimate Porker ($5.50) and the Italian Night Club ($5.50). For those who are really hungry, there is the JJ Gargantuan ($7.50). If a certain veggie or sauce is not included on an 8-inch or club, it can be added for free. An extra load of meat ($1.30) can be added to each as well.  Diners not wanting the veggies and sauce on a sandwich can order one of six Plain Slim ($3.50) choices, which only include a selected meat and cheese. A low carbohydrate option is the JJ Unwich ($4.50, $5.50), which is any sandwich selection served inside of a wrap instead of on bread.

Sides: Jimmy John’s carries their own brand of individual-sized potato chips ($1.00), including a jalapeno flavor and a BBQ flavor. A whole, sliced pickle ($1.00) is another side option that can be enjoyed with any sandwich. For dessert, two giant cookie ($1.50) choices are chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin.

Service: The Wyandotte Jimmy John’s location lives up to the quick service promised by the company’s “Freaky Fast! Freaky Good!” advertising slogan. Friendly employees follow an efficient process, allowing for orders to be taken quickly and food to be served with very little customer wait time. The restaurant also offers a delivery service within a limited area.
