Bites Nearby: Mancino's Pizza & Grinders

Each week, Wyandotte Patch editors and readers will pick a great restaurant either in town or nearby whose cuisine is considered to reign supreme.

Greatest Dish Ever: The Italian (9” $5.39, 18” $9.79) is an overloaded grinder that should satisfy even the biggest of appetites. Ham, salami, sausage, mushrooms, onion, green peppers, lettuce, tomato and cheese are stuffed between two slices of toasted bread.

Don't Miss: The Slammer (medium $17.19, large $19.29) is a pizza with one of the most unique combinations of toppings possible. Pepperoni, onions and mushrooms are combined with marinated chicken breast, steak and cheddar cheese.

Overview: A chain restaurant that quickly serves up Italian food at value prices. Diners can either eat in and relax in the informal atmosphere or opt for take out. Food orders are made at the front counter, similar to the method used in fast food. Constant specials and a kids' menu make it an attractive lunch or dinner option for many families. At times it is also a popular teen hangout due to the close proximity to .

Service: There is not a true waitstaff because food orders are taken at the front counter. However, the workers in other areas of the restaurant are typically courteous, friendly and mindful of customer needs. The employees taking orders at the counter are usually very knowledgeable of the menu.
