Overview: A small, family-owned restaurant with a surprisingly extensive menu. Seating is available at the front counter, at one of the many tables or on the outdoor patio (weather permitting). Breakfast items are sold throughout the day. Diners on their first visit will probably need extra time to decide which of the many entrees, dinners or sides they want to order.

The Scene: Nanna’s is usually busy in the morning, filled with hungry diners ordering breakfast. Throughout the day, senior citizens, families, teens and employees from area businesses can be spotted at the restaurant enjoying a meal.

The Drinks: Pepsi products are the soft drinks of choice. Coffee, iced tea, milk, lemonade (seasonal), cappuccinos, smoothies and V-8 (6 oz. can) also are available.

Entrees: Breakfast favorites include the Nanna’s Omelette ($4.75), Western Omelette ($5.99) and Silver Dollar Pancakes ($4.99). Popular sandwiches on the menu are the Slim Jim ($5.99), Cold Ham Sandwich ($4.79) and Hot Turkey Sandwich. Burgers, which are 1/3 pound, include a plain hamburger ($3.69) and Bacon Cheeseburger ($4.79). Some of the dinner favorites are the Fried Chicken Dinner ($7.79) and Meatloaf Dinner ($7.89). Options on the new Mediterranean menu include Ghallaba with Steak ($10.99) and the Chicken Kabob Dinner ($10.99). Diners who enjoy seafood have choices such as the Grilled Salmon Filet ($10.99) and Pan Fried Walleye ($9.29).

Sides: Although most dinner options include sides, customers have the option of purchasing several others. Among the choices are: french fries ($1.99), garlic bread ($1.59), coleslaw ($2.09), feta cheese ($1.99) and cottage cheese ($2.09).

Service: Customers are quickly greeted and seated upon entering. Waitstaff is friendly, knowledgeable and quick to point out menu recommendations to first-timers needing help.
