Overview: A small, corner bar with many more dining options than similar-sized watering holes in the area.

The Scene: Lunchtime attracts a wide variety of patrons, including parents with children. Evenings are for the 21 and up crowd who come to mingle or watch sporting events on one of the bar’s eight TVs.

The Drinks: More than 30 beers are kept on tap, some of which are craft brewed in Michigan. Energy drinks, soft drinks and water also are available for those not ordering alcoholic beverages with their meal.

Entrees: The ½ Pound Ground Round ($4.75) and Patty Melt ($5.50) make up the classic bar burger selections. The Cajun Bayou Burger ($5.25) is made with Louisiana spices, pepper cheese and Louisiana mayonnaise. A Club Sandwich ($6.25), Stacked Ham and Cheese ($4.95) and a Reuben ($6.50) are just a few sandwich choices. Among items on the Tex-Mex portion of the menu are Mini Tacos ($4.00), Taquitos ($5.25) and the Mucho Nacho Supreme ($8.95), which is loaded with ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, green peppers and jalapeno peppers. Those looking to eat a bit lighter have options such as the Chicken Pita ($6.25) or Veggie Pita ($5.25).

Appetizers: Chicken strips ($5.95), Buffalo wings ($4.95) and onion rings ($4.25) are some of the individual choices. The combination plate ($5.50) and party platter ($8.95) offer a chance to try multiple appetizer menu items at once.

Service: The wait staff quickly brings food menus upon request and alerts customers of any daily specials. Food orders are immediately prepared, then promptly taken to diners sitting at tables or at the bar.
