Bites Nearby: Pier 500

This waterfront bar and restaurant offers an indoor dance area, outside tiki decks and live music.

Overview: Pier 500 is waterfront bar and restaurant, ideal for late night dinner and music outings. Every season it offers specials and happy hours. The menu is a mix of American, Mexican, seafood and snacks. A special late-night menu is available.

Decor: The restaurant features tiki decks for outside seating, live music and a dance area indoors.

The Drinks: Pier 500 offers a full bar with all the amenities.

Appetizers: Coconut Shrimp, batter dipped and rolled in zesty shreds of coconut ($8.95); Nacho Kahuna, fresh nacho chips served with the works, along with chicken or beef ($9.95) ; and Pier Wings, perfectly breaded and deep fried chicken wings (10 for $6.95 or 20 for $12.95).

Entrees: The Seafood Combo includes shrimp, perch and walleye ($20.95) or taste the slow cooked BBQ ribs ($10.95 for half or $17.95 for whole).
