New Upscale Bar & Restaurant Moves into Wyandotte

Now you'll have a place to go when you're craving 12-year-old single pot still Irish whiskey.

Opening during the Street Art Fair, Bourbon's on Sycamore is Wyandotte's newest restaurant.

Located at 118 Sycamore Bourbon's is an upscale bar and grill located in downtown Wyandotte, according to the Bourbon's Facebook page.

Some menu items include calamari, salmon salad, pulled pork, burgers, hot dogs and pizza.

There's a fully-stocked bar with an array of bourbons and whiskeys including Wild Turkey, Dewar's, Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare and Red Beast.

There's also a select handful of craft beers.

Bourbon's resides in the space formerly occupied by Agave Margarita Bar, which closed.

I have nothing against this restaurant- I have not yet eaten there. I just wanted to point out that "upscale" and "hot dogs" is not a thing.

Relax, Brandon Crupi. "Upscale" in Wyandotte simply translates to "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service".

Sheez, what is it with all the negativity? It's a nice new business in a nice town! That is a very good thing. Yes, they do offer one gourmet Hot dog and a few gourmet burgers. Brandon himself states he hasn't eaten there and yet seems to judge it. They have a wonderful calamari with a unique spin, the Lamb Chops melt in your mouth and the Saganaki is fabulous! Just go give it a try and please do give it a chance, we need all the local businesses to succeed!

Ok, I love the idea. It's exactly what Wyandotte needs. My concern is that walking in; this is the same place as Solero. Bourbon bar that looks like an old restaurant? Plastic partitions between booths? Wait booths in the bourbon bar? As far as the design goes, I hope there is more in store for this place other than yellow and terracotta walls. I want this place to do well but you can't rely on location only. It has to be the whole package. If you’re a bourbon bar, you should have good bourbon not just low priced bottles to appeal to the lowest common denominator. I feel like no homework was done on the competition around. Curious to know what the game plan is here. The place has failed several times in the past, what are you doing different? I would suggest get some high end bourbons to add. I should be able to have bourbon there that is hard to find other places. I can get better stuff two blocks over at a beer bar. The menu screams unsophisticated. Coconut Shrimp, Fried Calamari, Hot Dogs, Greek burger. Message to owner, do your homework. Don't make this is a hobby, make it a success. I would love to talk to the owner and give some ideas. Remember , first impressions are key to people coming back. I love bourbon so I'll try again but I was very put off by what you are doing right now.

Yes we have a limited menu for now, that was so we could be ready to open for the street fair, hire a crew to get some experience in the restaurant, and take care of some of the challenges a new business is going to have. Our food was well received by those who came in. We are working on a full menu which should be in place in a couple of weeks. If you haven't come in to see us maybe you should and look at our Bourbon selection along with our craft beers before submitting a reaction to something your have not even seen yet. We are here to help enhance the Wyandotte culture and experience for all.

If this is the same owners as the 2 previous venues forget it. Last time I was in there DIRTY! Dirty bathroom, dirty kitchen (door was open when I went to the restroom) and the servers did not clean off the tables. The tables that people left when we walked in were still full of dirty dishes when we left. Employees standing around at the bar ignoring everyone while they were having a good time. Never go back there again!

I keep waiting for someone to open a vegetarian restaurant in Wyandotte. As a vegan I find there are very few choices Downriver for a meal out. I really think there in an untapped market for something like this in Wyandotte.

Once again, NO. It is not the same owners as the two previous venues. And if they are anything they are very clean!! The kitchen, bathrooms and tables are always very clean. The dishes rarely remain on the tables until the tables are empty in fact, they are taken as patrons finish with them. No employees will be found ignoring anyone, entertaining and servicing you is their 'good time'. Give them a try, go in and check it out NOW, it's NEW, then please come back and tell us what you think!!

Eclectic Great Menu, Beers and Bourbons A great amazing eating spot in downtown Wyandotte is a must try plating up unique super foods along with a super list of Craft Beers on tap and bottled. With the explosion of the craft beer movement over the last few years this place has added to a must try for those many super beers and bourbon. The chef who had decades of fine food experience just transplanted here from Maryland, he showcases some of the most pleasing menu items around the city. Our first trip with many more to follow we tried 3 of the low priced lunch menu items the $5 Cuban sandwich with Broccoli soup, the $ 6 special Honey Pecan coated Chicken salad and me favorite the $ 7 mega flavorful Burger on Ciabatta bread topped with Garlic Basil Mayo,,really have to say the very best Burger Downriver and another must try I tell you. A most beautiful new decorated seating area with a large outdoor patio out front that this area will sure to be proud to have. Fast friendly service with a smile and a visit from the chef, along with 3 lunch specials for $20,,,, which to me is gourmet foods at half the price elsewhere. Wonderful house made Bourbon BBQ chips and get this Purple Sweet Tater Deep Fried Fries so really good. Be sure to visit there Facebook Site for daily postings of the lunch specials. A shout out to our upbeat all knowing polite friendly server Crystal she was great and we tipped her well.

Thank you Al! An absolute pleasure to read an informed review about first hand knowledge, refreshing indeed. The chef however came from PHX, AZ not Maryland, no difference I know but to him, lol. So glad to hear you enjoyed and were treated well
