Lost Wyandotte Puppy Needs Help Finding Her Way Home

Mopsi's owner needs help finding her puppy. Mopsi got loose Thursday evening near Oak and 9th.

Mopsi, a Maltese puppy, got loose around 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening. She was last seen near Oak and 9th.

Her owner, Laura Burt Cunningham, is hoping someone has seen her 9-month-old friend around the area.

Mopsi is not wearing a collar, Cunningham said, because she uses a harness to walk her.

If you have any information, you can contact Cunningham through Facebook or post a comment below.

Be sure to check the Wyandotte Shelter and other area shelters, including Southgate and Taylor. Go in and take a photograph of Mopsy, also contact information. Wyandotte shelter is open tonight 5:30-7:30, Sat 10:00-2:00, Sun 10:00-1:00 and we can post a lost dog notice on our lost dog board there. It is good to knock on doors around your area. Post fliars with a photo and contact info. Be sure to post them also in veteranarian offices, stores and anywhere you can where the public will see them. We have seen this works in returning animals to their owner. Don't give up - keep looking, keep asking. Also, post a photo on your front door for the mail person. They see animals every day on their route and would know if they saw Mopsy somewhere. The Wyandotte Animal Shelter has a public facebook page and you can post lost pet information there and it will be seen, and shared, by most rescues and shelters downriver. Be sure to include photo and contact information. Sure hope Mopsy finds her way back home. Keep us posted!

The dates are wrong for this to be the same dog, but could there be a mistake somewhere. these are both female same breed, I am not that familiar with the area but sounds like it could be the same area. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200225632633129&set=a.4395905665421.2172341.1521847765&type=1&theater

Just wanted to say thank you to all those who kept an eye out for Mopsi. Mopsi was found yesterday and is safe and happy back home with her family. Friends, please remember to microchip your pets and keep license and a tag with contact information on their collar. Wyandotte residents can pick up a license at the Wyandotte Shelter and also make arrangements for microchips. Also, be sure to spay/neuter your pets and keep them home. There are low cost spay/neuter clinics in your area. The shelters can give you information on those also. We are grateful for answered prayers that Mopsi is home safe and well..
