Wyandotte 2012 Trick-or-Treat Guide: Times, Safety and Weather

Trick-or-treating starts at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Wyandotte. It's going to be a chilly one. Bundle up.

Happy Halloween, Wyandotte!

In case you still need to head out to buy that last minute candy (or, worse yet, costume!), we wanted to give you a quick guide to everything you need to know to enjoy Halloween in Wyandotte.

Trick-or-Treat Times

Kids: Look for those porch lights to be coming on around 5:30 p.m. to mark the official start to trick-or-treating in Wyandotte. The fun runs till 7:30 p.m.

It wouldn't be a Michigan Halloween if the kids didn't have to wear long underwear under their costumes and winter coats on top. The chance of rain is likely and it'll be cold -- somewhere in the 40s with light winds, according to the National Weather Service. The skies will be cloudy, so bring along a flashlight and an umbrella.

Wyandotte Police Chief Daniel Grant and Wyandotte Fire Chief Jeffery Carley have issued some helpful tips to remember while venturing out on Halloween.

We know you're going to snap photos of your little Power Ranger or Cinderella, so why not share them on Wyandotte Patch for a chance to win $5,000? Upload photos of your child to this story before 11:59 p.m. Thursday and you'll be entered in the giveaway.

Can't Get Enough?

If you need more Halloween news, you've come to the right place. Well, almost. Actually, head here and you'll have plenty to catch up on (while trying to resist eating all that candy you bought to hand out to the little ones.)
