The turning of the switch is an annual tradition to get the city into the holiday spirit.
Hundreds of people lined Biddle near Sycamore on Friday evening for the annual .
The festive mood spilled out to downtown businesses that offered other goodies during the Third Friday event.
To keep the theme going, the will stroll down Biddle Avenue this morning.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. near Ford and lasts about an hour as it travels down Biddle to Eureka.
More than 100 displays are expected, including Wyandotte Biddle Bear, marching bands, clowns and floats. And, of course, Santa will be at the end of the parade, ready to put a smile on the faces of the good boys and girls.

Longtime Wyandotte resident Sam Palamara is the grand marshal of this year’s parade.
