Antiques Fair

Local history buffs can find a new treasure at an upcoming benefit. The next fundraiser for the Wyandotte Museums is a Fall Antiques Fair, which will include appraisal clinics, antique and vintage items for sale, Model A’s on display and more set against the beautiful venue of the Museums’ campus.

Interested in a truly unique vintage shopping experience?  The Museum Campus will transform into an antique marketplace from 10 AM to 4 PM!  Amid the beautiful historic buildings and antique automobiles, guests can find a selection of affordable antiques from local dealers, featuring all kinds of wares to suit everyone's budget.

Did you ever wonder how much that old lamp tucked away in the attic was worth? How about that dusty antique record?  Bring in your attic treasures and family heirlooms and join us at the Wyandotte Museums as appraisers from Doug Dalton Auctioneers and Schmidt’s Antiques of Ypsilanti will be on hand from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM to provide a verbal estimate of the items based on the age, condition, and fair market value of each.  It's like "Antiques Roadshow," only on Biddle Avenue in Wyandotte!

Participants interested in appraisals can bring up to three items for each 15 minute appointment with a certified appraiser.  Those with more than three are encouraged to make a second appointment. Additionally, those interested in bringing an item should limit the size to something that can be carried by hand.  The fee for each item is $10. Proceeds from the clinic benefit the Wyandotte Museums.  To secure your appraisal appointment, come into the Museums Office, located at the Historic Burns Home at 2624 Biddle Avenue, to register!

Presentations and demonstrations will be held throughout the day. Refreshments available for sale on-site.
