Blessing of Pets - St. Joseph Church, Wyandotte

St. Joseph Church in Wyandotte invites you to the Blessing of Pets.

A procession of animals, everything from dogs and cats to hamsters and even horses, is led to churches for a special ceremony called the Blessing of Pets. This custom is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures.
Please meet out front St. Joseph Church at 334 Elm St. (between 3rd and 4th) at 7:15 p.m. It does get a little hectic with all the animals so please make sure your pet is properly secured with a leash or carrier. Through the intercession of St Francis, the saint that loves all creation, may you and your pets be blessed!
