Downriver Senior Olympics Last Day to Register

Attention Wyandotte Residents, Ages 50+...

June 27 is the LAST DAY to register for the 29th Downriver Senior Olympics.   You must have the required registration form filled out and if you've selected events to participate in that have a fee, a check payable to Downriver Senior Olympics must be turned in to the Copeland Center Office before 3:00 pm.   Wyandotte residents will not have to pay the $6 registration fee which includes your t-shirt because our Recreation Department will cover that cost.  Come join in the fun! There's something for everyone!  Plenty of event to choose from - billiards, bowling, bocce ball, bean bag toss (new), or baking to softball toss, swimming, football throw, golf, shuffleboard, euchre, darts, bridge, and so much more.  Maybe you'd like to see how you'd do in horshoes, the one mile run, soccer kick, the basketball shoot or simply the frisbee throw..  Perhaps show off that special vehicle in the car show, or put on your best moves in the ballroom dance competition, on the tennis court, or even get out that secret recipe for the chili cookoff.  There's also pickle ball, pinochle and ping pong.  This year, the Olympics opening day begins on July 28 at the host city of Taylor.  Come sign up and join us for the free Breakfast of Champions, Opening Ceremony and the Fun Walk (chance to win a prize!)  The week wraps up with the Unity Awards Banquet Friday, August 1 at Crystal Gardens again.  Register anytime NOW up thru June 27 to get in on the FUN and represent team Wyandotte.  Come give it a try.  If you have questions, call 734-324-7275
