Free Lecture on Stroke

In the United States, someone suffers a stroke every 45 seconds. 
And every four minutes, someone dies from a stroke.
A free lecture on the causes and prevention strategies of stroke will take place September 19,
5:30-8:00 p.m. at Wayne County Community College District -Downriver Campus, 21000 Northline Road, Taylor.  The seminar will be held in the Ray Mix room.
Dr. Thomas McKeown, chairman and Medical Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, will discuss stroke and answer questions.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Dr. McKeown speaks at 6:15 -7 p.m, along with patient testimonials from stroke survivors.
From 7 - 8 p.m., there is a health fair, with free blood pressure and cholesterol screening (no fasting required); stroke risk assessments; nutritional, medical, physical rehabilitation, home care and other information
Giveaways, refreshments and door prizes will be available. The event is free.
