Community Corner

PACK the YACK! Red Wing Alumni vs. Wyandotte Alumni

On November 17, 2013 the puck will drop between the Red Wing Alumni and a team representing the Wyandotte community.   Several former Red Wing hockey legends will be competing in the charity game including Hall of Fame player, Dino Ciccarelli and many of the recently retired and former players.

Fun-filled activities are planned for the entire family including "Chuck-A-Puck", 50/50 raffle, silent auction and much more!  This charity game is to raise awareness of childhood hunger and money to support the Blessings in a Backpack program for the children in Wyandotte.

Blessings in a Backpack provides school-age children who have food insecurities with a backpack containing enough food to provide six meals during the weekend. Each week backpacks are distributed to the children and they return the backpacks on Monday, to be refilled for the following Friday. Backpacks contain such foods as tuna, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese , oatmeal, fruit juices, fruit granola bars, soup, and beef ravioli.

We NEED your help to make this event successful. Many sponsorship opportunities are available.  I am sure one will fit your individual or company's needs.  This will be an excellent venue to reach out to more than a thousand potential customers to help promote your business while feeding hungry children in your community.

Additionally, available now are raffle tickets for your chance to win a TEAM-SIGNED, FRAMED RED WING JERSEY!  $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.

Tickets to the game will be limited and available for purchase very soon.  For additional Sponsorship or Game or Raffle Ticket Information call 734-775-2387  or email: blessingswyandotte@hotmail.com or find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Blessings-in-a-Backpack-Wyandotte-MI/100322410068623?ref=hl
