Just because an animal is older, has medical issues or special needs doesn't mean a cat or dog shouldn't have a chance at love, does it?
Come to Hood's Do-It-Best from noon-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, for a special adoption event that features the hardest-to-adopt dogs and cats from several area shelters, including P.A.W.S. of Michigan, Shelter to Home, Basil's Buddies, and the Wyandotte Animal Shelter. The animals who have a harder time finding a forever home are in their situation for any number of reasons: They're older, overweight, maybe weren't trained as well as they could have been, or they have a special health issue.
Drop in and meet these lovable cats and dogs, and be sure to check out the silent auction items (including for Red Wings tickets, cat trees and more), raffle drawings, a bake sale, and PAWS products (including T-shirts). You may also have animal ID tags made while you're there.
