Downtown Bike Rental Program Could Come to Wyandotte

City considers proposal for one-year trial period.

Wyandotte said at its Nov.25 council meeting that it would consider a proposal for a downtown-area bike rental stand on a trial basis, a newspaper reported.

The issue is expected to go back to the council within 90 days, The News-Herald said Wednesday.

Authority Director Natalie Rankine, City Engineer Mark Kowalewski and Police Chief Daniel Grant will determine a location for the bike rack and “prepare a proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance if needed, depending on the location," the paper said.
